FAQ - Frequently asked questions:

1) Where do you ship to :

I am able to currently ship anywhere within the UK, Ireland etc, but not overseas, due to the Insurance restrictions. Please email me for further details, if you require an order, or quote, outside UK.

The store is only set up for orders in the UK currently.

2) Why are there different safety levels on the orange maker logo?

Level 1 - is for ALL customers to say we meet or exceed all safety standards. Everyone automatically recieves this.

Level 2 - Is where we actually do extra testing of a toy, as we did for Boobie Buddies Ltd, by request, we pull toys from the production line to test, upon request from the client.

3) What about worker & factory conditions in China?

You will find the orange makers mark safety seal logo on the main page, this alternates with TIPs and WAHM clickable logos, so please refresh pages where necessary to read the information you need.

 This is a extensive plan, which takes you through: safety, testing, proto type, production process, factory ethics, worker conditions and more!

4) How do I care for Boobie Buddies set after purchase?

PLEASE READ UPDATES - RIGHT HAND SIDE WEBSITE - Doll Aftercare.

NB* As with any toy used over a prolonged period of time, before and after play, or washing or drying, check for signs of general wear and tear, to keep play safe.

5) Postage and Packaging:

Packaging (which is free to my customers where at all possible) either a New blue poly bag, for single or double purchases, bulkier orders will be packaged up in a recycled box or 12 x sets and above will be sent out in the original boxes they were shipped to me in. I recycle where I can!

Postage will be added at the point of checkout - this will vary, dependant upon your quantity ordered = weight, postage options chosen within or outside the UK . Calculated automatically via the Royal Mail module on this website.

6) VAT @ 17.5% ? how is this shown ?

VAT @ 17.5  is calculated at checkout  (i.e)

 per set:         £32.00p 

VAT @ 17.5 % = £5.60p .

Total             £37.60p (excluding postage or offers)

8) Weight and cubic size per box of 12 doll sets:

Box sizes for your reference:

52 x 50 x 42 CM (weight per box is 7.28G.W kgs approx)

Bear in mind : box sizes stated above come packaged up in 12 x sets (Mum & Baby) per box, but as I check each doll set personally before its shipped out to you for quality control, you can pick the quantity of Blonde or Ethnic sets mixed in each box, to suit your needs. Please state when emailling me for a quote.

10) Payment options:

I accept Paypal via the website checkout facilities, or UK Sterling cheque with cheque card details on the reverse, made payable to BOOBIE BUDDIES LTD.

Postal Orders Sterling UK made payable to MRS P WHEELWRIGHT. I will then bank to my Business account.

I also accept BACs payment from Companies.(Surestart, Councils, Boroughs)

Including a relevant purchase order number.

Please appreciate however as a WAHM I work around my family needs, but aim to bank midweek, and dispatch goods once cheques have cleared. If its paid via paypal I dispatch ASAP. Thank you. Children's Centres / Companies I accept BACs payments also, if an official order number I can dispatch goods prior to funds clearing.

11) Dispatch of orders:

Please bear in mind, I will process your orders as quickly as possible, and will keep you updated as to payments being processed, and goods being sent out, all I ask please if you email me upon arrival of your order.

14) Slings for the baby doll?

Q - Hi Pip - I had a thought about the doll and baby - sometimes they get separated and
we have such a job to find baby again. I think that a baby sling would be
good for the mummy to have - we are using a handkerchief at present which
just means that they keep together.....also shows children that babies like
to be carried? Just a thought. - Christine.

A - I had always planned a sling fro the Mum doll to carry her baby in, (see my accessories page) but for now a couple of other customers have used a hankerchief as a sling solution, or some other customers have reversed the t shirt so it opens at the front, and baby then sits inside Mum's top for journeys! To keep them together, and snuggled close !

Slings now being made via Woolly Wumpkins, along with an exciting rance of clothing.

15) Doll sizes?

Q: Hi - I think these dolls are fab. I go to a breastfeeding group through sure
start and the health worker had two of these dolls with her today.I really
don't understand why you can't buy these as standard in the shops!! I am
breastfeeding, my daughter is 18 months and i'd really like her to have a
breastfeeding doll. Do you do any smaller sizes for a cheaper price?? Anna.

A - My initial proto types, were in fact much smaller, but I and children found the smaller size were slightly more fiddly to use, and due to the placement of the magnets, and design, the size needed to be larger, to enable this work effectively, upon reviews and feedback the larger size is a real hit with children and adults alike, as its good to show postioning, for classes, and children like the bigger size Mum & Baby for role play!
